Meet Your Maker

Working at some of the most respected wineries in the world, Chris Pittenger gained hands-on experience in every aspect of winemaking. Vintages at Robert Biale in Napa and Kim Crawford in New Zealand provided a solid foundation in the cellar. Working in warm, dry climates with David Powell at Torbreck exposed him to the world-class potential of Shiraz, Grenache, and other Rhône varietals. Two harvests at Williams-Selyem Winery introduced him to Pinot Noir, and since the 2006 vintage, Chris has been a member of the winemaking team at Marcassin.

Today his journey continues at Skinner Vineyards where he joins the family in carrying on their 150-year-old legacy of quality without compromise.
